Camera sensor cleaning tips:

• Dust particles often appear as small gray spots on pictures, especially on a light background. Adjust your aperture to F16 or F22 and take a test ,,after” picture. If you still see any blemishes, try to repeat the process with fresh, clean tools.
• Check your camera for an auto-cleaning function, oftentimes it’s enough to get rid of small specks of dirt.
• Location also matters, choose a room with still air and as little dust as possible to avoid ruining your work.
• Before moving on to swabs and cleaning liquids, use an air blower on your entire camera and lens to get rid of as much dust as possible and avoid transferring it onto your sensor.
• All sensor swabs are disposable. They can be used dry or damp with 1-2 drops of your lens cleaner, remember not to touch the microfiber part of the swab. Do not put any cleaning solution directly on your camera.
• In most mirrorless cameras the sensor will be exposed after taking the cap off but some models will need you to access the camera menu to select cleaning mode and on DSLR’s flip away the mirror. Remember to keep your camera charged so it doesn’t turn off the auto-clean mode mid cleaning. When in doubt, refer to your camera manual.
